China’s coal imports down 29.9 percent in January-October

In October this year, China’s coal exports and imports amounted to 520,000 mt and 13.96 million mt, respectively, up 8.3 percent and declining by 30.7 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities on November 8. 

In the January-October period of the current year, China’s coal exports totaled 4.54 million mt, decreasing by 6.5 percent, while its coal imports amounted to 170.31 million mt, down 29.9 percent, both year on year.
