China’s coal imports down 29.4 percent in January-November

In November this year, China’s coal exports and imports amounted to 350,000 mt and 16.19 million mt, respectively, down 18.6 percent and declining by 23.01 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities on December 8. 

In the January-November period of the current year, China’s coal exports totaled 4.89 million mt, decreasing by 7.9 percent, while its coal imports amounted to 186.43 million mt, down 29.4 percent, both year on year.
