China's auto imports & exports rise strongly

According to the statistics released by the Chinese customs authorities, China's automobile exports in October increased 80.4 percent to 55,123 vehicles, totaling $679 million in value, up 139.3 percent year on year.

In the January-October period, China's total automobile exports reached 468,607 vehicles, equal to $5.4740 billion in value, up 119.6 percent.

As regards imports, the total for October rose 53 percent to 23,305 vehicles, amounting to a value of $859 million, up 72.9 percent year on year. From January to October, China's imports were up by 36.3 percent to 244,945 vehicles, with the total value of imports for this period climbing 41.8 percent year on year to $8.4370 billion.
