China-based Jingye Iron and Steel completes trial rolling

Yunnan Province-based Chinese steelmaker Jingye Iron and Steel Co., Ltd (Yunnan Jingye), a subsidiary of Jingye Group, successfully completed a trial rolling on June 9, with one bar production line now in production. Yunnan Jingye was formally established on April 9, 2020, via the takeover of Yunnan Province-based Yongchang Iron and Steel Co.

The designed annual capacities of melted iron, billet and finished steel that will be built by Yunnan Jingye, are 2.32 million mt, 1.7 million mt and 1.7 million mt, respectively.
