China implements automatic import license for iron ore

The Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) announced yesterday that iron ore will fall under the scope of the Automatic Import License system pursuant to Commodity Import and Export Administrative Enactment of China and Management Measures on Cargo Automatic Import License. In line with the MOFCOM's notice, all the iron ore import enterprises must abide by the Automatic Import License. Iron ore listed under No. 2601110000, No.2601120000 and No. 2601200000 will be subject to the new regulation.
