Canada exports 4.56 million mt of ferrous scrap in January to November 2018

According to provisional customs data for the country, Canada exported 0.35 million mt of ferrous scrap in November for a total 4.56 million mt exported in the January to November 2018 period.

The largest destinations in the 11-month period were the US with 3.13 million mt (67 percent), followed by Turkey with 0.70 million mt (15 percent). Canada exported 0.13 million mt (3 percent) to Mexico, 0.12 million mt to Taiwan (3 percent), 0.10 million mt to Brazil (2 percent), 0.09 million mt (2 percent) India and 0.08 million mt to Bangladesh (2 percent each), and 0.21 million mt (5 percent) to other destinations.
