In September this year, the output and sales volumes of passenger vehicles in China amounted to 1.6207 million units and 1.7512 million units, increasing by 20.8 percent and 23.4 percent month on month, while down six percent and rising by 3.3 percent year on year, respectively, as announced by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM). In the January-September period this year, the output and sales volumes of passenger vehicles in China totaled 14.6063 million units and 14.5478 million units, up 1.5 percent and 2.8 percent year on year, respectively.
As for commercial vehicles, domestic output and sales volumes in September amounted to 273,600 units and 273,600 units, up 20 percent and 11.2 percent month on month, while decreasing by 3.2 percent and 4.9 percent year on year, respectively. In the January-September period, domestic output and sales of commercial vehicles totaled 2.4853 million units and 2.5087 million units, down 12.5 percent and 11.8 percent year on year, respectively.
In the January-September period this year,China’s auto export volume totaled 553,600 units, down 16.5 percent year on year, including 323,200 passenger vehicles and 230,400 commercial vehicles, down 17.5 percent and declining by 15.1 percent year on year, respectively.
