Building permits decrease in Turkey in Q1

According to the data released by Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), the number of buildings authorized by building permits from municipalities in Turkey in the first three months of the current year decreased to 14,763, down 31.4 percent from 21,508 registered during the same period of the previous year.

In January-March period of this year, the value of the buildings in question declined by 21.6 percent year on year, while the total number of apartments authorized by building permits decreased to 92,304, down 26.7 percent from 125.975 units in the same period of the previous year.
