Buildco plans rebar plant

Abu Dhabi National Company for Building Materials (Buildco) is reportedly planning to set up a rebar plant in the Industrial City of Abu Dhabi (ICAD)-2. The plant will have 350,000 metric tons per annum rebar production capacity. The company has reportedly bought 445,000 square meters land to build the plant and it is going to sign the construction contract in the first quarter of 2006. The plant will be named Buildco Steel.
