Breakdown at NKK hot strip mill

A control panel for rolling at Japanese mill NKK's no.2 hot strip mill of Fukuyama works has broken. The parts will be only available in the third week of October 2002. This breakdown at the hot strip mill is estimated to cause NKK to lose 250.000mt HRC production. Korean rerollers will be the ones to suffer the most, as they will not be able to replace the high quality tons they were expecting from NKK to meet their own production schedules.
