Brazilian civil construction activity up in January

Brazilian civil construction activity in January rose to 47.5 points, up from 44 points in January 2019, in a scale from zero to 100, in which values above 50 show growth, according to the local confederation of industries (CNI).

The trade group said Brazil civil construction activity in January also improved from 45.8 points in December 2019.

Local civil construction capacity utilization in January was 60 percent, up from 55 percent in January 2019, and 59 percent in December 2019.

The indicator measuring the number of job positions in the segment grew to 47.3 points in January, from 42.5 points in January 2019. The indicator also increased when compared to the 45.1 points reported in December 2019.
