Brazil investigating imports of Chinese flat steel

Brazil is sending two foreign trade analysts to Maanshan, Chengde, Tangshan and Benxi, in China, to investigate potential dumping practices in Brazilian imports of finished flat steel from China.

According to a notice published on Wednesday at Brazil’s official gazette, Diario Official, the foreign trade analysts will visit Maanshan Iron and Steel Co. Ltd., Hesteel Company Limited, Bengang Steel Plates Co. Ltd. and Benxi Iron and Steel International Economic and Trading Co. Ltd.

The products being analyzed include finished flat steel, both alloyed or non-alloyed, hot rolled, in plates, not rolled or in coils.

The analysts will perform their investigation between February 10-February 25, 2017.
