BlueScope Steel to help tsunami-affected areas

According to the statement released by Australian steel producer BlueScope Steel, the company will donate $200'000 to the Australian Red Cross Asia Quake and Tsunami Appeal. Moreover, with the donations from the employees, the company's total donation will reach $1 million. The company's plants in tsunami-affected countries, such as Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Sri Lanka have reportedly not been damaged. BlueScope CEO Kirby Adams stated that the company will help re-construction of the damaged areas.
