According to a statement issued by Liaoning Province-based Chinese steelmaker Benxi Iron and Steel Corporation, on October 25 it signed a contract with South Korea-based Union Steel for the supply of hot rolled coil and sheet (HRC and HRS) in 2010-2011, at a ceremony held in the presence of Union Steel chairman Hong Chunzhe and Benxi Steel general manager Zhang Xiaofang.
The two sides have formed a good relationship in recent times, and Benxi is one of the largest Chinese suppliers of steel to Union Steel.
