On November 13, Liaoning Province-based Benxi Steel issued its ex-factory flat product prices for December. Cold rolled prices registered a relatively sharp drop compared with November levels, while prices of the other products remained unchanged. The details are as follows:
1. HR coils
The ex-factory price of Q235 5.75 mm x 1,250 mm HRC is still at RMB 3,630/mt ($489/mt).
2. CR coils
Prices decreased by RMB 140/mt ($19/mt) from November levels. As a result, the ex-factory price of St12 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm box sheet is at RMB 4,250/mt ($572/mt).
3. Color coated coils
The ex-factory price of TST01 0.45 mm (white, blue and gray) is still at RMB 6,000/mt ($808/mt).
All the above prices exclude 17 percent VAT and are effective as of November 13, 2007.
