On March 17, Liaoning Province-based Benxi Steel issued its ex-factory flats prices for April. The details are as follows:
HR coils:
The ex-factory price has increased RMB 500/mt ($71/mt). Thus the new price of Q235 3.0 mm thick HRC is at RMB 4,900/mt ($692/mt), while that of Q235 5.5 mm x 1,500 mm HRC is at RMB 4,650/mt ($657/mt).
CR coils:
The ex-factory price has risen RMB 600/mt ($85/mt). As a result, the new price of Q195 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm box sheet is at RMB 5,670/mt ($801/mt), while that of 1.0 mm thick CRC is at RMB 5,600/mt ($791/mt).
HDG coils:
The ex-factory price has increased RMB 700/mt ($99/mt). Following the adjustment, the new price of ST01Z 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm HDG is at RMB 5,850/mt ($826/mt).
Color coated coils:
The ex-factory price has gone up RMB 800/mt ($113/mt). Thus the new price of TDC51D 0.47 mm x 1,250 mm color coated coils stands at RMB 7,100/mt ($1,003/mt).
All the above prices exclude tax and are effective as of March 17, 2008.
