On September 16, Liaoning Province-based Benxi Steel issued its ex-factory flats prices for October. The details are as follows:
1. HR coils
The ex-factory prices have decreased RMB 350/mt ($51/mt). Thus the new price of Q235 2.75 mm HRC is at RMB 4,910/mt ($720/mt), while that of Q235 5.75 mm HRC is at RMB 4,770/mt ($699/mt).
2. CR coils
The ex-factory prices have declined RMB 300/mt ($44/mt). As a result, the new price of DC01 1.0 mm CRC is at RMB 5,600/mt ($821/mt).
3. HDG coils
The ex-factory prices are down by RMB 700/mt ($103/mt). Following the adjustment, the new price of DC51D+Z 1.0 mm HDG is at RMB 5,850/mt ($858/mt).
4. Color coated coils
The ex-factory prices have gone down RMB 400/mt ($59/mt). Thus the new price of TDC51D 0.47 mm color coated coils stands at RMB 7,100/mt ($1,041/mt).
All the above prices exclude 17 percent VAT tax and are effective as of September 16, 2008.
