Benxi Steel issues new prices for February

SteelOrbis Shanghai On January 11, Liaoning Province-based Benxi Iron and Steel Co. Ltd. issued its ex-factory price list for February delivery. The details are as follows: 1. HR coils prices have remained constant from January levels. Thus, the price of Q235 2.0 mm is still at RMB 3,800/mt ($488), while that of Q235 5.75 mm is at RMB 3,320/mt ($426). 2. CR coils prices have also remained unchanged from January levels. As a result, the ex-factory price of ST12 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm CR sheet is still at RMB 4,110/mt ($528), while that of ST12 1.0mm x 1,250 mm x C CR coil remains at RMB 4,040/mt ($519). 3. Full hard CR coils have increased RMB 90/mt ($12). As a result, the price of 1.0 mm is now at RMB 3,850/mt ($494). 4. Galvanized coils prices have increased RMB 50/mt ($6), and so the price of ST01Z 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm x C has gone up to RMB 4,940/mt ($634). 5. Color coated prices have increased RMB 100/mt ($13). As a result, the price of TDC51D 0.47 mm x 1,250 mm x C is now at RMB 5,950/mt ($764). All the above prices exclude 17 percent VAT and are effective as of January 11, 2007.
