Benxi Steel announces price hike

SteelOrbis Shanghai Benxi Steel announced a new price list on April 21, with the following details: 1. The mill hiked hot rolled product prices by RMB 280/mt ($35). The new ex-factory price of 3.0 mm thick Q235 is RMB 3,600/mt ($449). 2. The price of cold rolled sheets increased RMB 190/mt ($24). The ex-factory price of 1.0 mm thick Q235 is now RMB 4,510/mt ($563). 3. Galvanized products' prices rose RMB 170/mt ($21), while those of color coated sheets remained unchanged. The above-mentioned prices exclude taxes, and are effective from April 21. The price hike of Benxi Steel may be a support against the decline in HR and CR prices.
