Baosteel’s production reaches 21.38 mio tons

Chinese steel producer Baosteel Group has announced that its steel production in 2004 reached 21.38 million tons and the company expects 2004 sales revenue to exceed Yuan 160 billion ($19.32 billion). The company also stated that its market share in high-tech and value-added steel production increased in 2004. In Jan-Sep period of 2004, Baoshan Iron and Steel's revenue amounted to Yuan 43.08 billion, up by 32.3% against the previous year and the net profit reached Yuan 7.14 billion, up by 34.1% against the previous year figures.
