Baosteel’s BT-S13Cr110 line pipes successfully laid in Tarim oilfield

Chinese steel giant Baosteel Group' BT-S13Cr110 line pipes have been successfully laid in the Tarim oilfield, located in the Taklimakan desert in the south of the Xinjiang autonomous region in western China. The Tarim oilfield is the second largest inland oilfield in China, after the Daqing oilfield.

The BT-S13Cr110 line pipes were specially developed for the Tarim oilfield by Baosteel Group, Tarim Oilfield Company and the Xian Steel Pipe Institute. Initial trial production was carried out in September 2009.
