Baosteel posts net profit of RMB 11.668 billion for Jan-Sept

Shanghai-based Chinese steelmaker Baosteel has announced an operating revenue of RMB 251.837 billion ($38.0 billion) for the January-September period of the current year, up 43.21 percent year on year, with a net profit of RMB 11.668 billion ($1.76 billion), rising by 95.52 percent year on year.

Baosteel stated that in the third quarter of the year it produced 11.471 million mt of pig iron, 11.953 million mt of crude steel, while it sold 11.473 million mt of finished steel. In the first nine months of the year, it produced 33.906 million mt of pig iron, 35.282 million mt of crude steel, while it sold 34.216 million mt of finished steel.
