Shanghai-based giant steelmaker Baosteel in a period of just one month has successfully developed T24 high-pressure boiler tube for application in ultra-supercritical boilers, thus filling up a gap in production in China. The tubes in question have already been supplied to Shanghai Boiler Works, Ltd.

Compared with T23 steel tube, T24 tube gives a better performance in terms of strength, pressure and resistance to high temperatures in the range of 500 to 550 degrees Celsius, and as such is expected to have a bright market future.
