Baosteel Group subsidiary Baosteel Branch has recently carried out hot run tests on its 2030 mm cold rolled electrical galvanizing unit, successfully meeting quality standards, and has commenced production operations.
The unit in question mainly produces high grade fingerprint resistant electrogalvanized plates, with a designed capacity of 300,000 mt per year. The product in question is widely used in the household appliances industry. Currently, the supply of fingerprint resistant electrogalvanized plate in China is unable to meet the demand in the domestic market. The commencement of production at the 2030 mm cold rolled electrical galvanizing unit at Baosteel Branch is expected to ease the tight supply situation in the downstream industry greatly. It is also expected to optimize Baosteel's product structure, as well as enhance the company's competitiveness in China and in the international market.
