In early April (April 1-10) this year, the average prices in China of coking coal and second-grade metallurgical coke were recorded at RMB 1,350.0/mt ($201.8/mt) and RMB 1,734.5/mt ($258.5/mt), remaining stable and decreasing by RMB 51.3/mt ($7.6/mt) or 2.9 percent compared to prices in late March (March 21-31), as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics.
