In late June (June 21-30) this year, the average price in China of coking coal was recorded at RMB 1,180.0/mt ($186.4/mt), remaining stable, while the average price of second-grade metallurgical coke was RMB 2,234.1/mt ($333.4/mt), up by RMB 82.7/mt ($12.4/mt) or 3.8 percent, both compared to prices in mid-June (June 11-20), as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics.
