Average HRB 400 rebar price in China up 1.1 percent in early March

In early March (March 1-10) this year, the average prices in China of 16-25 mm HRB 400 rebar, 6.5 mm HPB 300 wire rod, 20 mm Q235 common medium plate, 3 mm Q235 hot rolled sheet, 219 mm x 6 mm seamless pipes and 5 mm x 5 mm angles were recorded at RMB 3,948.4/mt ($586.7/mt), RMB 4,055.1/mt ($602.5/mt), RMB 4,004.6/mt ($595.0/mt), RMB 3,955.4/mt ($587.7/mt), RMB 4,888.4/mt ($726.4/mt) and RMB 4,184.1/mt ($621.7/mt), up RMB 44.2/mt ($6.6/mt), RMB 37.7/mt ($5.6mt), RMB 26.1/mt ($3.9/mt), RMB 45.4/mt ($6.7/mt), RMB 16.7/mt ($2.5/mt) and RMB 32.4/mt ($4.8/mt), increasing by 1.1 percent, 0.9 percent, 0.7 percent, 1.2 percent, 0.3 percent and 0.8 percent, respectively, all compared to prices in late February (February 21-28) this year, as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics on Mar 14.
