Average HRB 400 rebar price in China down 0.7 percent in mid-July

In mid-July (July 11-20) this year, the average prices in China of 16-25 mm HRB 400 rebar, 6.5 mm HPB 300 wire rod, 20 mm Q235 common medium plate, 3 mm Q235 hot rolled sheet, 219 mm x 6 mm seamless pipes and 5 mm x 5 mm angles were respectively recorded at RMB 4,032.9/mt ($587.0/mt), RMB 4,209.7/mt ($612.8/mt), RMB 3,993.1/mt ($581.2/mt), RMB 3,970.6/mt ($578.0/mt), RMB 4,669.9/mt ($679.8/mt) and RMB 4,187.9/mt ($609.6/mt), down RMB 28.9/mt ($4.2/mt), RMB 25.2/mt ($3.7/mt), RMB 25.7/mt ($3.7/mt), RMB 27.4/mt ($4.0/mt), RMB 3.4/mt ($0.5/mt) and RMB 9.0/mt ($1.31/mt), i.e., down 0.7 percent, 0.6 percent, 0.6 percent, 0.7 percent, 0.1 percent and 0.2 percent, compared to prices in early July (July 1-10), as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics.
