Australia to invest in Pakistan's steel sector

In the recent meetings held between the delegations from Austria and Pakistan, delegations from Austria revealed that Austrian steel company VoestAlpine AG is interested in participating in the projects regarding upgrading, revamping and modernization of automation and control systems of different units in Pakistan. Moreover, the company is stated to be interested in Pakistan Steel Mills' (PSM) expansion project. The Pakistani Federal Minister for Industries and Production stated that he welcomes the offer of the Austrian firm and will provide support to the firm after certain regulations and rules are fulfilled.
