Argentina’s trade surplus rises in January

Argentina's statistics institute INDEC indicates that the country's trade surplus rose to $852 million in January 2005 from $713 million in January 2004. Both exports and imports in January increased 18% from a year earlier. Industrial exports, boosted by growing demand from Brazil and other countries in the region, contributed to the increase in overall exports
