ArcelorMittal Temirtau starts overhaul of BF No. 3

ArcelorMittal Temirtau, the largest metallurgical enterprise in Kazakhstan, has announced that it has started the planned overhaul of its blast furnace No. 3. The company will invest around $150 million in the project. The overhaul work will continue up to Q3 2014. The supplier of equipment will be Luxembourg-based company Paul Wurth. After the repair works, the maximum productivity of the furnace will rise from 3,700 mt of pig iron per day to 6,300 mt.
