ArcelorMittal Tubarão, a subsidiary of local steelmaker ArcelorMittal Brazil, is considering installing a cold strip rolling mill at its Tubarão unit, in Espírito Santo state, according to a media report from Tempo Novo.

The company did not provide details on timelines or expected investments for the cold strip rolling mill, adding that there are currently no studies underway for the project.

“This is a possibility,” the media report said, quoting a spokesperson.

“CEO Benjamin Baptista Filho made his remarks in the context of a future perspective, which is still far away from being achieved,” the company said.
