Arcelor plans price hikes for 2005

Arcelor CEO Guy Dolle has announced a target to increase prices in 2005 by 20% for all contracts made with automotive and white goods sectors to cover mostly flat products. Arcelor group is also said to be considering a price hike of 5-7%, or €20-30/ton for rolled carbon steel in the fourth quarter of 2004 in order to meet rising costs of raw materials.
