Arcelor officially announces its interest in Erdemir’s privatization

Mr. Guy Dolle, the CEO of the world's largest steel producer Arcelor, has officially announced its interest in Eregli Iron and Steel Works' (ERDEMIR) privatization in a meeting held with Turkish Prime Minister (PM) Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Paris. Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during his visit to Paris, met Arcelor's CEO Guy Dolle. After the meeting, Dolle announced that they had been investing in Turkey for the last 15 years and want to increase their investments in the country, adding that Arcelor is interested in Erdemir's privatization. As previously reported by SteelOrbis, US Steel Corp has also expressed its interest in Erdemir's privatization.
