Aperam plans to divest its French tube operations

Luxembourg-headquartered global stainless steel producer Aperam SA has announced that it plans to sell its stainless steel welded tube manufacturing plant located in Ancerville and its distribution center located in Annecy, both in France, to Germany-based Mutares AG. 
 
According to Aperam’s statement, any transaction would be subject to a consultation process in accordance with French law and customary closing conditions, and would be expected to be completed by the end of the first half of the current year.
 
The concerned entities of the company had a combined turnover of €67 million and total shipments of 20,000 mt in 2015, and are considered as a non-core asset for Aperam.
