AK Steel reports January 2005 surcharges

Middletown-based steel producer AK Steel has recently announced that it will increase surcharge on flat-rolled carbon steel products to $205 per ton effective for shipments as of January 1, 2005. This surcharge on the same products in December was $153 per ton. Moreover, the surcharge on electrical steel products shipped as of January 1, 2005 will be $400 per ton. The surcharge on the same products in December was $260 per ton.
