AK Steel hikes stainless steel prices
According to the statement released by Middletown-based steel producer AK Steel, the company will increase base price of type 409 hot rolled and cold rolled
stainless steel sheet and strip products by approximately 5% effective for shipments as of September 27, 2004.
The company officials stated that they determined to increase prices due to strong demand for the subject products and rising costs.
