AK Steel hikes prices of carbon steel flat-rolled products

According to the statement released by Middletown-based steel producer AK Steel, the company will increase base prices for all its carbon, flat-rolled steel products by $50 per ton effective for shipments as of January 1, 2005. The increase will be effective for steel sold in spot market.
