AK Steel announces December surcharges

Middletown-based steel producer AK Steel has recently announced that it will increase surcharge on flat-rolled carbon steel products to $153 per ton effective for shipments as of December 1, 2004. This surcharge on the same products in November was $149 per ton. Moreover, the surcharge on electrical steel products shipped as of December 1, 2004 will be $260 per ton. The surcharge on the same products in November was $250 per ton.
