Turkish auto producers to carry out repair works in August

Automotive producers in Turkey are to carry out scheduled repair works at their production facilities in August, while they are generally due to restart production by the end of the month.
 
In Bursa, the center of the automotive sector in Turkey, Oyak-Renault will suspend production during August 1-13, while Tofaş and Karsan will have their summer break on August 6-27. The Toyota plant in Adapazarı will halt production on August 6-22, while Ford Otosan's Gölcük facilty will stop production for the period of August 6-27. Meanwhile, Hyundai Assan, which plans a large increase in capacity, will suspend its production between August 18 and September 2.
 
While the automotive producers carry out summer repair works at their facilities, the workers in their production divisions will take their summer break.
