Local Chinese steel pipe prices have moved on a stable trend during the past week.

Local Chinese seamless pipe prices have followed a stable trend during the past week. Overall trading activity has remained weak. Upstream billet prices have softened slightly, while seamless pipe supply volumes have continued to decrease, while market inventory is still at normal levels. As for the week ahead, it is believed that seamless pipe prices may move sideways or down slightly, against the backdrop of the off-season and weaker support from the cost side.

Chinese domestic welded pipe prices have showed a stable trend during the past week. Overall trading activity is weak. Prices of steel strip and other raw materials have softened, but most welded pipe suppliers have kept their prices stable for now. As for the week ahead, as raw material prices may continue to decrease, it is believed that welded pipe prices may move down by small margins.
