Japanese H2 domestic scrap prices seeking bottom

On June 21, SteelOrbis reported domestic H2 scrap prices in Japan at mini-mills in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya at JPY 27,800-28,200/mt ($259-263/mt) for H2 scrap and JPY 31,300-31,800/mt ($292-296/mt) for shindachi scrap, all prices delivered to customer.

Sources inform SteelOrbis that H2 scrap prices have ticked down and are now at JPY 27,400-27,800/mt ($255-259/mt) for H2 scrap and JPY 30,700-31,100/mt ($286-290/mt) for shindachi scrap, all prices delivered to customer. H2 scrap decreased $4/mt from both the bottom and the top of the respective previous range while shindachi scrap decreased $6/mt from both the bottom and top of the respective range.
