SteelOrbis has learned that since our report last week, merchant bar offers have decreased by another $40 /mt. Offers are now ranging from $1,280 /mt to $1,300 /mt CFR FO US Gulf ports, based on theoretical weights. (Subject product consists of small sections and some structural channels and angles according to ASTM A36/A6.)
Taiwanese offers have also decreased. Merchant bar offerings from Taiwan are said to be ranging from $1,130 /mt to $1,150 /mt CFR FO US West Coast ports, a decrease of $60 /mt since last week.
