Demand for southern European rebar exports fails to improve

According to market sources, Spanish rebar export offers have remained unchanged since last week at €410/mt ($459/mt) FOB. In the same period, Italian producers' rebar export offers have declined by €5/mt ($5.6/mt) on the lower end to the range of €410-415/mt ($459-465/mt) FOB.

However, buyers in Algeria, an important export market for both of the above countries, have found these offers to be on the high side. As a result, demand for ex-South Europe rebar has failed to improve over the past week.
