It is observed that demand received by CIS-based billet exporters has fluctuated over the past week, while they have started to receive price inquiries from Turkey. The CIS-based exporters increased their prices by an average of $5/mt at the beginning of the current week to $460-465/mt FOB. However, buyers in the international markets have not accepted this new price range, but are exerting pressure on these prices instead. Meanwhile, SteelOrbis has been informed that ex-CIS billet offers to Egypt are at $480-485/mt CFR, while ex-CIS billet offers to Turkey are in the range of $475-480/mt CFR.
