On June 15, Chinese steel producer Shougang Group issued its new ex-mill price list for steel plate products for July as follows:
1. Carbon steel plate prices are unchanged. Accordingly, the ex-mill price of Q235B 14-20 mm medium plate still stands at RMB 4,570/mt ($703/mt).
2. Ex-mill prices of low alloy steel sheet indicate no change. As a result, Q345B 14-20 mm low alloy steel sheet continued to be priced at RMB 4,750/mt ($731/mt).
3. There are no price changes for boiler steel plate. Thus, the ex-mill price of SPCC 1.0 mm boiler steel plate remains at RMB 4,790/mt ($737/mt). Meanwhile, the price of Q345R 14-20 mm container steel plate price is unchanged at RMB 4,860/mt ($778/mt).
4. The listed price of shipbuilding plate remains at the same level as for June. Thus, the ex-mill price of CCSA 14-20 mm shipbuilding plate remains at RMB 4,770/mt ($734/mt), while the ex-mill price of CCSB 14-20 mm shipbuilding plate is still at RMB 4,810/mt ($740/mt)
All the above prices are ex-mill, do not include 17 percent VAT and are effective from July 1, 2011.
