Wuhan makes move for Liuzhou

China's second largest steel maker, Wuhan Iron and Steel, announced that the company inked a letter of intent with the Guangxi provincial government to take over state-owned Liuzhou Steel. Details of the proposed acquisition have not been made available. Liuzhou Steel is capable of producing 4 million tons of steel per year.
