The World Trade Organization (WTO) has announced that its dispute settlement body has agreed to establish a panel to examine Turkey’s complaint regarding the 11 percent of antidumping duty imposed by Morocco on imports of Turkish hot rolled flat steel.

In its complaint lodged in October last year, Turkey alleged the Moroccan measures are inconsistent with a number of procedural and substantive provisions of the WTO's antidumping agreement.

According to the WTO, Morocco stated that it considers the duties in question are in accordance with its domestic laws and with its WTO commitments, and that it is prepared to defend the consistency of its measures before a panel.
