WISCO’s auto sheets receive GM approval

The North American HQ of General Motors (GM) has sent a letter to Chinese steelmaker Wuhan Iron and Steel Group (WISCO) informing it that its CR sheets and galvanized sheets for automobile manufacture have received initial approval from GM. 

Next year GM plans to purchase 20,000 mt of steel products from WISCO for the overseas markets, with Shanghai GM's purchase volume in China expected to be in a range of 40,000 mt to 50,000 mt.
