US DOC initiates new shipper review for certain pipes from Turkey

On March 7, 1986, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) imposed countervailing duty order on certain welded carbon steel standard pipe imported from Turkey. On March 30, 2006, the DOC received a request from Turkish producer Toscelik for a new shipper review of the countervailing duty order on certain welded carbon steel pipes imported from Turkey, which has a March anniversary month. The producer certified that it did not export subject merchandise to the US during the period of the investigation. Accordingly, the DOC has decided to initiate a new shipper review of the countervailing duty order on certain welded carbon steel pipes imported from Toscelik Profil ve Sac Endustrisi A.S (Toscelik), and its affiliated export trading company, Tosyali Dis Ticaret A.S (Tosyali). The review covers the period January 1, 2005, through December 31, 2005.
